Quilt Prep
Quilt Prep Instructions:

Quilt Top
: Quilt top must be pressed. Please be sure all threads are clipped from the quilt top especially if you have a light colored background. Make sure there are no open seams. If your quilt is directional please mark the top. No basting is necessary. I can stitch over appliqué, but not beads, buttons or other embellishments, they will need to  be removed prior to quilting.

Backing: Quilt backing must be at least 8" wider and 8" longer than the quilt top. So, 4" inches on all 4 sides. Backing must be trimmed and squared up prior to me receiving your quilt. Press well and cut loose threads. If you need to piece your quilt back, it is best to piece horizontally whenever possible. The least amount of fabric build up the better. I will piece your backing fabric for $15.00 for the first seam and $10.00 for the second. If there is a direction to your backing please be sure to mark it.

Batting: Batting needs to be at least 4" larger on all 4 sides. You may supply your own batting or you may purchase batting from me. I currently carry batting by the Warm Company. Warm and Natural 90" and 120" and Warm and White 90" and 120".
