Handi Quilter Educational Event

QUILTERS COCOON is having a machine quilter educator from HandiQuilter academy come in and teach four different classes.  The classes are:

Sixteen Tips for Sweet Success.

Basic theory of stitch formation, relationship of needles to thread to machine, proper threading and tension, properties of threads and specialty threads and how to handle them.  This classes if for any one that uses the HQ Sweet Sixteen or intends to purchase one and for domestic machine users.

Three Bs: Backgrounds Borders and Blocks.

Learn to add texture and fluidity to your quilting by changing the size and spacing of freehand designs. See your quilting come alive as you gain confidence in each application featuring drawing designs before quilting to build muscle memory, continuous quilting paths for blocks, combining simple designs for great borders, simple sashes and borders and using rulers and templates for borders and sashes.

Feathers That Amaze.

Learn how to create beautiful feather elements in many different styles.  Learn how to draw and stitch feathers by several different paths, add fills and adjust feathers to a variety of geometric spaces by drawing and tracing feathers, creating feather veins using rulers, adding echo and fills by making feathers fit within a variety of geometric spaces and using oval rulers in a rectangle boundary.

Rule Your Quilt.

You will love using rulers after this class. Learn to handle rulers and templates safely and properly as well as how to work with rulers to achieve amazing designs.  Also, straight line quilting, fast continuous-curve method, right angles and echo quilting, crosshatching and piano keys and borders.

Each class is three (3) hours long and the cost is only $50.  (Try and find a similar class at Road for this cost)
