Come and learn how to applique with our very own Cocoon's staff, Betty Dinan.
Betty is an award winning quilter. She is fun, energetic, creative and very knowledgeable in applique and quilting. If you are at all interested in hand applique then this is the class to take!
Learn to applique using freezer paper and spray starch to achieve smooth and accurate curves, inside angles and sharp points, and then learn to hide your stitches.
This is a 2-day class. On the first day, Betty will teach you the technique. On the second day, Betty will assist you in making your own Aunt Millie's Garden as in the sample above or you may select another project to do. Or if you want to practice a little more, Betty will have a cute flower pattern available for you to build your skill, and you select your own fabrics.
There is a $5.00 kit fee payable to Betty at class on the first day.
Each student must have own their own craft iron, stiletto, Roxanne's glue, thimble if you like using one. Students need to have their project materials ready before class starts. The kits Betty provides are for learning the technique only.
