Square Tuffet using a focal fabric. Focal Fabric Square Tuffet Square Tuffet Supply Sheet Pre-class instructions- Cut the fusible pattern apart, being careful to keep the different sections separated. Fuse each section onto the wrong side of desired fabric. Section 2a and 2ar will be next to the focal fabric and section 2c and 2cr will be the corner fabric. Cut out each piece and have it ready to sew when you come to class. If you are not sure which fabrics to use in any given position you may wait and do it in class and I will be happy to give you some advice but you need to have the focal fabric panel fused and cut out when you come to class. Fabric: 1 yard focal fabric (this allows for fussy cutting your focal panel) 5/8 yard each of 3 coordinating fabrics for corners 1 fat quarter for bottom of tuffet and button Note: if your fabric has a flower or a special design in it you may consider fussy cutting it out for your button, it looks very cute. Supplies: Quilter's Cocoon pattern (fusible interfacing included) Sewing machine in good working order Machine needles Straight pins Rotary cutter with sharp blade Piecing thread Hand needle Standard foot Seam ripper, small sharp point scissors, and large scissors Small iron and pressing mat (optional)
