Lattice Garden



This sweet, pretty quilt looks difficult but easy to make with just two different kinds of blocks.

In this two-day class you will learn how to fussy cut your blocks, learn to make partial seam blocks, how to set your quilt on point or diagonally, and how to make miter borders.

Pattern:  You may use Lattice Garden pattern from Quilter's Cocoon during the Spring Fling Shop Hop

Fabric Requirements:
1 1/2 yards Large Floral
1/2 yard Red
1/2 yard Green
1 3/4 yards Tan-on-Tan Butterflies for Blocks and Setting Triangles
5/3 yard Red Prints for Inner Border
1 1/4 yards Butterfly Prints for Outer Border
5/8 yard for Binding
3 2/3 yards for Backing




Basic Sewing Supplies:
Sewing Machine in good working order, cord, pedal, etc...
Rotary Cutter, Mat
Rulers - long and
**Bring 8 1/2" square and 4 1/2" square rulers for fussy cutting**;  if you don't have these rulers, then bring a ruler at least 8 1/2" square and Glow-line tape, or masking tape, or sticky notes.
Scissors
Thread for piecing
And any other sewing supplies for your sewing comfort

Before class, please cut:
- Red fabric:  (6) 2 1/2" x wof strips.  Cross cut these into (24) 6 1/2" x 2 1/2" rectangles and
  (31) 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" squares.
- Green fabric: (6) 2 1/2" x wof strips.  Cross cut these into (24) 6 1/2" x 2 1/2" rectangles and
  (31) 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" squares.
- Tan-on-Tan Butterfly fabric:  1. (4) 8 1/2" x wof strips.  Cross cut these into (14) 8 1/2" x 8 1/2" squares.  2.  Cut (2) 12 3/4" x wof strips.  Cross cut these into (4) 12 3/4" x 12 3/4" squares.  From leftover, cut (2) 7 1/2" x 7 1/2" squares.
