Method creates an overzied block that when cut down makes a perfect NY Beauty block.  Even if you do not know how to paper piece or sew curves, this method is easy and can be learned in class.  There are multiple layout possibilities and color schemes that can  be used, all with spectacular results.  The required book will describe layout options and fabric requirememts.  You should choose good contrast between sections of the block that touch.

                    EQ Printable Fountation Paper
                    Plastic templates of Background and Pie from book - note make 1/2 inch larger on straight  sides
                    Printed foundation sheets - 3

                     6 1/2 square ruler
                     
PRE CUTTING PRIOR TO CLASS:
COME PREPARED WITH 6 BLOCKS PRE CUT.  EACH BLOCK REQUIRES:
                   7 1/2 inch square for for background
                   4 1/2 inch square for pie
                    Five 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 inch rectangles for spire background
