* Required - CELEBRATED CRAZINESS book by The Buggy Barn *
* SUPPLIES:
~~ PATTERN - in CELEBRATED CRAZINESS by The Buggy Barn (book)
~~ SEWING MACHINE, FOOT PEDAL, CORD - in good working order
~~ Large 60mm ROTARY CUTTER with a new blade (we will be cutting through many layers of fabrics)
~~ MAT/RULER (medium size)
~~ THREAD, SCISSORS, PINS, etc.
~~ FREEZER PAPER
* FABRIC REQUIREMENTS:
~~ 1-1/2 yds. total of assorted reds
~~ 1-1/2 yds. total of assorted whites
~~ 2 yds. of blue for star background
~~ 1-1/2 yds. tan for stars
~~ 3 yds. for backing
~~ 5/8 yd. for binding
~~~ PLEASE HAVE THE FOLLOWING PREPARED BEFORE CLASS~~~
* TRACE the 3-1/2" star block onto 7" square of the unwaxed side of freezer paper. Label each piece. You will need 8 traced patterns.
* From blue fabrics, cut:
~~ (7) 7" strips. Crosscut into (41) 7" squares
~~ (4) 3-1/2" strips. Crosscut into (40) 3-1/2" squares
* From tan fabrics, cut:
~~ (7) 7" strips. Crosscut into (41) 7" squares
* From red fabrics, cut:
~~ (133) 3-1/2" squares
~~ (6) 2-1/2" X 3-1/2" rectangles
~~ (7) 1-1/2" X 3-1/2" rectangles
~~ (138) 1-1/2" squares
* From white fabrics, cut:
~~ (130) 3-1/2" squares
~~ (9) 2-1/2" X 3-1/2" rectangles
~~ (9) 1-1/2" X 3-1/2" rectangles
~~ (141) 1-1/2" squares
**NOTE** This is the cutting for the entire quilt top. You don't have to cut everything before class. Please do have at least (8)varieties of 7" squares of the blues and tans cut for star blocks, and some of the reds and whites cut before class.
