Beginning Quilting


Interested in learning how much fun quilting is? Start with this beginning quilting class and learn techniques for cutting and piecing. You'll have finished a lovely quilt top and be excited about starting your next project!

You will learn all the basics of quilting including measuring, cutting, piecing, borders, etc. You will be making a beautiful quilt (while having fun) using a unique pattern.

Rhonda will help you with all the basics in putting this quilt together. Once you get started, you will be "hooked" on quilting. Come have fun with Rhonda and make new friends!

BEGINNING QUILTING


PATTERN: Yellow Brick Road by Atkinson Designs

TOOLS: Rotary mat, rotary cutter, 9-1/2" X 9-1/2" square ruler, and a long ruler such as 6-1/2" x 24" ruler.

BASIC SEWING SUPPLIES: Sewing machine, thread (neutral color such as cream, tan, gray, lt. gray), scissors, pins, seam ripper, Best Press starch, 1-gallon ziplock bags, etc.

For Baby Quilt: 48" x 57"
6 FQs,
1 1/3 yds. for border and binding,
3yds. for backing
