Hello Everyone,

I hope you are all doing great! I have to admit I haven't been all that inspired by the fabric, books or patterns this year. I've been waiting for the fabric designers to come up with something new and inspiring. I wasn't really sure what I wanted or needed but I needed something. Well, my friends we have it! The Fabrics are all FABULOUS, so vibrant and varied in patterns and different color ways they are sure to please everyone. I have so many quilts dancing around in my head I can't sleep at night. Everyday something new arrives at the shop and I’m off to another project or recruiting someone to make a sample.

Now that I got all that excitement off my chest let’s focus a little. The holiday’s, yes they have snuck up again. For those who still have quilt tops to finish there’s still time to get them done. We are quilting away everyday and are still able to deliver for Christmas. Gather up your tops or quickly finish and bring them to the shop. My daughter is also doing binding for those who need it done.

We have many new fabric collections, new books and new patterns. My favorite book is, well I have many, Batkis Inspired by Bali, Strip Frenzy, Livin Large and Big Blocks Quick Quilts. Anyone who knows me or has been in the shop knows I love Batik’s. We have the Bali Pops and oh are they fun. I’ve made a couple quilts using them and they are gorgeous. Hoffman has a free pattern on there website called Trade Winds using Bali Pops. It is really great, they have it shown in the Butterscotch color way, but all color ways look great in that pattern.

Remember this date!! December 14th, 2008. It is our customer appreciation day. Please join us from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for o’dourves and drink’s. We realize without all our customers and friends we wouldn’t be where we are today so we wanted to show our appreciation by hosting an “It’s all about you day”. Please note the shop will not be open for purchases during 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Next year is going to be a busy one. We are going to be at Road to California in January, Glendale Quilt Show in March, Inland Empire Quilt show in May, on the Quilter’s Run in July and at the Long Beach Quilt Festival in July. August is family time hubby, the kids and I are going to escape to the beach for 2 weeks.

We are working on a class schedule now for next year. Oh, I’m doing a Mystery Weekend January 3rd 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and January 4th 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Guaranteed you’ve never done one like this before. It’s an awesome pattern sign up early space is limited.

We are your Handi Quilter specialists. We sell and service the Handi Quilter products. Free set up and free lifetime training. We also carry the sit-down machine and have one in the store if you’d like to demo. If you’ve ever thought about a home business this is a great one. Not many people can say they love what they do for a living. Just image calling your self and saying I won’t be in today I’m home sewing.


Do you or anyone you know want to teach quilting? We are always looking for teachers. We pay our teachers on a 90/10 scale. (teachers keep 90% of class fees for themselves). Pagen at 951-351-0346 to arrange a time to bring in samples.
